Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the CAMDEV leadership-development questionnaire, free trial and subscription programme, provided by Center for Advanced Management Development (Pty) Ltd, trading as CAMDEV (2025/596051/07), 5B 5th Avenue, Fish Hoek, Cape Town, 7975 (director@camdev.co.za). By using the service you agree to these terms.
1. The service
CAMDEV provides a behaviour-based leadership self-assessment questionnaire and a personalised microlearning programme delivered by email or WhatsApp, built from CAMDEV’s leadership development content library and AI-assisted personalisation. The questionnaire measures observable workplace behaviour; it is not a psychometric assessment, and no psychologist or psychometrist is required to administer or interpret it.
2. The free trial
New users get the first 5 lessons of their top priority development area, delivered over 10 days, plus one exchange with our Subscriber Coach. No payment card is required to start a trial. The trial does not automatically convert to a paid subscription — you choose to upgrade.
3. Subscription, pricing and cancellation
The subscription is R495 per month, cancel anytime, or a once-off 12-week programme at R1,285. Billing runs through Paystack. You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep access until then. We don’t charge you again after a valid cancellation.
Cooling-off. You may cancel any purchase within 7 days of the transaction without reason or penalty and we will refund you within 30 days (Electronic Communications and Transactions Act s44). Where your purchase followed direct marketing from us, you may also rescind within 5 business days of delivery (Consumer Protection Act s16).
The 12-week programme. You may cancel the 12-week programme at any time on 20 business days’ notice under CPA s14; we may charge a reasonable cancellation penalty and will refund the balance.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the service for your own personal leadership development. You may not resell, redistribute, scrape or systematically copy the lesson content or questionnaire, attempt to circumvent delivery limits, or use the service in a way that is unlawful, abusive or infringes anyone else’s rights.
5. Intellectual property
The lesson content, questionnaire items and scoring logic are owned by CAMDEV or by its licensors and are protected by copyright. Subscribing gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the content for your own development. You may not reproduce, distribute or publish it elsewhere.
6. AI disclosure
Lesson content and coaching interactions are AI-assisted: our system uses AI to personalise scenarios and questions to your context, and the Subscriber Coach exchange may be AI-generated. Where a matter needs a human’s judgement, the interaction is escalated to a person. AI-generated content is reviewed against our content standards before publication, and we do not represent AI output as human-authored advice.
7. Liability
The programme is a development tool, not professional, medical, legal or financial advice, and is not a substitute for it. To the extent permitted by law, CAMDEV’s liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited under South African law, including under the Consumer Protection Act.
8. Changes to the service and these terms
We may update the service and these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers before they take effect.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
